Our School’s History

Palma Ceia Presbyterian Preschool was founded in 1979 by Director Emeritus, Nancy Little. Started as an early education outreach to children with special need of support, our preschool grew to become a model of full-inclusion. Recognized through both regional and national awards, our school continues to exemplify excellence in early childhood education through our commitment to developmentally appropriate practices, partnerships with the University of Tampa and the University of South Florida, our arts endowment, and our understanding of the sacredness of childhood.

Meet Our Director

A native Floridian, Rev. Meghann Pabst grew up in the Land O’ Lakes area and received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida. After teaching kindergarten in Pasco County, she went on to pursue her Master of Divinity degree at Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, Virginia. Meghann joined the staff of Palma Ceia Presbyterian Preschool in the fall of 2015 and was ordained into her position as chaplain and assistant director in June 2016. In 2021, Meghann was named director of Palma Ceia Presbyterian Preschool.

When she is not at the preschool, she enjoys baking, volunteering at Cedarkirk Camp and Conference Center, traveling, Broadway, and especially loves spending time with her nieces.
